2012 YEAR END AWARD PROGRAM
Year End points will be awarded in the following manner: 1st Place in the class will receive the same number of points as there are entries in the class. (For instance, if there are 12 entries in the class, 1st Place will receive 12 points, 2nd Place 11 points, 3rd Place 10 points and so forth. Points will be tallied throughout the season and the exhibitor with the most points accrued in a given class will be the Year End Champion for that class. The Reserve Champion will also be recognized.)
Points are awarded to the horse with the exception of the two Equitation Championships where points are awarded to the rider.
Clarification: Walk/Trot/Canter horses & riders MAY enter Walk and Trot classes and will receive ribbons at individual shows, but will NOT be eligible for the Year End Award in the Walk and Trot/Jog Championships. They ARE eligible for Year End Awards in any pointed canter/lope classes that they have entered.
